Beginning the day in Beacon and catching an early morning ferry, students enjoyed being out on the river and hearing their teachers recite the famous Walt Whitman poem, "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry."

Students toured the campus, learned about admissions, financial aid, scholarship opportunities and student life. They also learned about various career program options in addition to academic programs and pathways.

The 草榴社区West freshmen class participated in a leaving-to-learn activity at Sportsplex in New Windsor. This idea was spearheaded by Senior Leonardo Guzman. Leo interned at Sportsplex last year.
