Vails Gate STEAM Academy Scholars Explore Local Jobs
Students in Ms. Bonilla and Ms.McCabe’s classes have explored jobs in the community throughout the last trimester. To bring their research and learning alive, they have engaged in three trips that all connect to jobs in their local community. Students visited Lawrence Farms in Newburgh, went on a walking trip to their local pizzeria, Pizza Heaven, and went to breakfast at a local bagel shop, Miracle Bagel. These trips are not only connected to research topics they have completed, but also to math by reviewing money, measurements, numeracy, and time. Special thanks to these local businesses for allowing us to visit and enjoy your delicious food!
